LES PORTRAITS EN MINIATURE gallery originated thanks to the love and passion for an art that many consider dead. As Darmon defined it, “Le fleur charmante du jardin des arts”, instead is a living art, still able to seduce, amaze and fascinate art-lovers all over the world.

To keep up with the times, experience gained over the years meets a contemporary concept: an online gallery that allows our customers to buy museum-quality objects from the comfort of their homes, guaranteeing top-level shipments, insured, with professional packaging, all over the world. LES PORTRAITS EN MINIATURE have therefore chosen not to have a permanent showroom but to be able to meet customers in selected events.

Our gallery presents a prestigious collection of European miniature portraits, filtered through the experience of a longtime collector who has focused his gaze and attention on the glorious French school between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, concentrating on quality, state of preservation and, above all, distinctive features. These unique and precious items can now be offered to a demanding clientele, continuing a tradition of relationships of mutual trust and important collaboration with collectors, European museums and private foundations.

The collection of masterpieces is accompanied by study, research and publications, with a dedicated section on the menu.

Michele G. A. Bernardi has been a member of SPABA (Piedmontese Society of Archeology and Fine Arts) since 2013, through which he published the first study with unpublished documents on the painter Giuseppe Alessandria (1801-1861?).
