A precious miniature by CHRISTIAEN VAN POL (1752–1813) in a gilded bronze frame. Signed on the edge of the marble table: V. Pol.
Watercolor and gouache on vellum representing a basket of flowers composed of roses, poppies, jasmine, lilac, hibiscus, marigolds and small flowers coming to flesh out the larger buds carefully ordered in the basket. The composition is enriched with perches and a nest containing eggs and some feathers next to it.
